What got you into mountain biking?

I started riding BMX as a kid in the late 80s and eventually transitioned to mountain biking when I moved to Colorado. The first time I hit a real downhill trail at Winter Park, I was hooked. Curious to hear everyone else's origin story — what was the moment that got you into this sport?
